The Business Analysis Career Accelerator is an 8-week programme that teaches you the core BA competencies through a structured blend of self-paced learning, live masterclasses, and peer workshops. Each week, you produce a real deliverable for a simulated client.
Week 1 begins with PM Foundations for BAs — because Business Analysts who understand how projects are run are significantly more effective than those who don’t.
By the end of the programme, you have a complete BA portfolio, a capstone project, a certificate, and a reference letter from me.
What you’ll learn — week by week
Week 1
PM Foundations for Business Analysts
Where the BA sits in the project lifecycle, how to work with Project Managers, and understanding Agile and Waterfall from a BA perspective. Project governance and how decisions get made.
📄 Your deliverable: A project context document for a simulated engagement.
Week 2
Stakeholder Engagement and Requirements Elicitation
Stakeholder mapping, elicitation techniques — interviews, workshops, observation, document analysis — and how to handle conflicting requirements.
📄 Your deliverable: A stakeholder map and elicitation plan.
Week 3
Requirements Documentation and Management
User stories and acceptance criteria, functional and non-functional requirements, MoSCoW prioritisation, and requirements traceability — how to capture what stakeholders need in a form that teams can use.
📄 Your deliverable: A requirements specification document.
Week 4
Process Modelling and Analysis
Current-state and future-state process mapping, BPMN notation, gap analysis, and root cause analysis techniques including fishbone diagrams and 5 Whys.
📄 Your deliverable: A process model with gap analysis report.
Week 5
Business Cases and Solution Evaluation
How to make the case for change. Cost-benefit analysis, options appraisal, business case writing, and how to define acceptance criteria and plan for UAT.
📄 Your deliverable: A business case document.
Weeks 6–8
Capstone Simulated Client Project
A realistic brief — for example: “A mid-size healthcare provider wants to implement a new patient booking system.” You act as the lead BA. AI-powered feedback on each submission. Final portfolio review by me.
Full capstone deliverables: Stakeholder analysis · Requirements specification · Process models · Business case · UAT plan
